2019 / 2020 - September to June

The volunteer program is mandatory for members with skaters registered in programs STAR 2 and above.

Click here for on-line sign up

The objective of the program is to allow the club to provide opportunities and events for skaters while keeping our fees as low as possible.  As a “not for profit” organization this is only possible with the hard work and commitment of our volunteers.

PROGRAM OUTLINE:

  1. All members will be assessed the buyout fee associated with the highest level skater in their family with winter registration, $200 for a STARSKATE member and $400 for a COMPETITIVE member.  There is only one fee and one commitment per family.  The fee will not be processed until March 1, 2020.
  2. Volunteer sign up will open at 6pm on Thursday, September 12, 2019 and is only available on-line, through our regular registration system, on a first come first serve basis.
  3. STARSKATE members must commit to 2 credits and COMPETITIVE members must commit to 4 credits.  Buyout fees will be removed from accounts as soon as members have signed up for the appropriate number of credits.
  4. Sign up will be available until February 29, 2020
  5. Members that have not signed up for volunteer commitments by February 29, 2020 will be assessed the buyout fee on March 1, 2020.
  6. Volunteer hours can be completed between September 2019 and June 2020.
  7. Members that do not complete the hours that they have signed up for by June 30, 2020 will have the buyout fee added back to their account, payable with the registration fee for the following season.
  8. If a portion of the credits have been completed the buyout fee will be adjusted accordingly at $100 per credit.
  9. Volunteer hours for high school students are available for all volunteer commitments completed that are not labelled ADULT only.
